Our qualified Ministers and Educational Mentors began research to determine why people in general do not enter into, one man-one woman marriage contracts in today’s world some time ago and have accumulated some very interesting insights concerning marriages. Of course, there are the matters of common interpositions that are very visible to the casually thinking person.

   In trying to avoid the stressful situations many educated young people are delaying or skipping marriage due to high costs, economic instability, and shifting cultural norms that prioritize career, education, and personal freedom over early family formation. Rising student debt and housing costs, along with a desire to avoid divorce, lead many to view marriage as a "capstone" achievement rather than a starting point. 

AMFC Inc. has gone a bit further to investigate as to the psychological causes of why people in general do not enter marriage as often as was done over the years. 

1. GENDER ALIENATION; A good first reason is the matter of gender alienation. There has been so much for the matter of equality of the sexes over the years that gender opposites are paradox-ly in the opinion that their gender is more important in long term relationships, more so than their opposite. This self-favoritism faults itself on the matter of combining the opposites.

2. LOVE OF ONE’S OWN SELF; As the societies have expanded to have more money available our governments have served the people with more assistance programs called Public Assistance, our poor class has expanded by taking advantage of free-handouts the still bear the stigmas of being from the lower class that cannot provide entirely for themselves with government assistance. This situation has led for more citizens to not love themselves as people, thus not wanting to procure a long-lasting arrangement in marriage.

3. UNDERSTANDING GENDER HISTORY; Many young people do not know the primitive histories of their genders in the forwarding of generations humans to inhabit our beautiful Earth. AMFC has determined it was both the opposite genders working together doing what was natural as to the abilities of their own genders that has made for the human race to come to today.

4. MISUNDERSTANDING COMPLEXITIES OF SHARING; Many people have been raised in such ways as to receive and not be expected to return the favor. This practice of spoiling young people is a hinderance to their maturing into fair minded people thus making them very against extending their generosities to their mates. 

5. DIVIDING AUTHORATIVE POSITIONING WITHIN MARRIAGES; As the focus of our society has moved forward it has made for an equally stated genderism that is nuisance as to who holds authority within a marriage relationship. Certainly, there is much more research and considerations to be made as to adapting societal norms.

Yes, the marriage rate has actually been in decline since the 1970s. There are fewer people getting married and those that do marry tend to marry later whereas it used to be very common for people to marry in their late teens and early 20s. My wife and I married when we were 30 and are now 50.

There is a myriad of reasons for this shift and religion isn't particularly high among them. Societal expectations are much different...it was expected that you would marry, especially if you were a woman...and not so long ago women didn't have opportunities to actually work and make a career and marriage was a support system as much as anything else. You have increased education and increased opportunities for women to forge their own paths.

Marriage is also viewed more now as a capstone event rather than a starting point to your life...so basically, you go do all of this other shit first and that's how you really get your life going and then maybe somewhere down the line marriage might be in the cards vs you're 20 and getting married is the beginning of starting a life.
